New York Giants (1-3) at Carolina Panthers (2-1): The Giants face a must-win situation or their season goes down the tubes early.  Carolina has a good defensive front and should be able to handle New York’s mediocre offensive line.  Eli Manning is showing his age and he no longer likes to hang in the pocket as long as possible to get the ball downfield.  Cam Newton’s mobility will cause problems for the Giants’ defense. Carolina is rested and at home.

Panthers 24- Giants 16.

Jacksonville Jaguars (3-1) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-0): The league’s best offense takes on the NFL’s stingiest defense.  The Jags have the players at all three levels to slow down Kansas City’s explosive offense. Blake Bortles should have a good game going against KC’s porous defense.  Jacksonville’s defense should be fired up for this one.

Jaguars 23- Chiefs 20.

Dallas Cowboys (2-2) at Houston Texans (1-3): Dallas is an average team, but at least they figured out last week that a heavy dose of Ezekiel Elliott is the way to go.  Houston’s offensive line will have trouble protecting Deshaun Watson against a fine Dallas pass rush.  Byron Jones matches up well versus Deandre Hopkins.  Dallas edges Houston in a battle of mediocre Texas pro football.

Cowboys 20- Texans 17.
