PFDN, one of the premiere NFL Draft web portals, dropped ILB Darry Beckwith and S William Moore from the “Biggest Risks” list and added DE Lawrence Sidbury on 3.28.
Here is an excerpt from the nfl draft blog www.profootballdraftnetwork.com/wordpress:
"The NFL Draft “Biggest Risks” list does not necessarily mean I believe this group of players will be busts. I rate the players on this list as having a greater chance of disappointing from a production standpoint based upon their likely drafted slot."
With that clarification on the NFL draft biggest risks list, Denis Krusos goes on to say....
"I took a look at more film on Beckwith from his junior year and believe he is a solid 2nd or 3rd round draft choice. The same is true of William Moore. He had a disappointing senior season, but the footage I saw of his junior year was impressive. I still would not feel comfortable selecting Moore in the 1st round, but he is not a major risk in round 2.
I added Lawrence Sidbury to the list because too much is being made of his workouts. How high a player is drafted is a big determinant as to whether the pick is a reach or a solid selection. For example, some players are a major reach in the 1st round, but make sense in the 3rd. Sidbury is a project and should be a 5th round draft choice, but may go as high as the 3rd round. I also lowered Robert Ayers and James Laurinaitis on the list. They are both solid players. However, I view them as 2nd round selections that have a good chance of being picked in the 1st round."
