2009 NFL Draft’s All-Passion Team

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

Passion for playing football is something you want an NFL Draft prospect to possess.  Talent can only take you so far and you really have to want it to succeed in the NFL.  Playing football for a living is not a career choice for very many people.  It is, however, a job and like the rest of us, some players enjoy their work more than others do.  A lack of passion for the game is one reason why a highly touted draft prospect can disappoint.  Did WR Mike Williams of USC have a passion for the game?  He obviously did not since he basically ate his way out of the league.  The list is extensive of players who were born with talent for the game, but not enough interest to fully dedicate themselves.  When talent and desire both are high the result is a special player like a Jerry Rice or a Walter Payton.  The following is the PFDN list of 2009 NFL Draft prospects with the greatest passion for the game.  It does not guarantee success in the NFL, but it sure helps.

Aaron Curry
Brian Cushing
Louis Delmas
Jarett Dillard
Kevin Ellison
Zack Follett
Evander Hood
Mitch King
Paul Kruger
Alex Mack
Knowshon Moreno
Jason Phillips
Nick Reed
Brian Robiskie
